How did Paul become a follower of Jesus?

Acts chapter 9 talks about Paul’s conversion. God caused Paul to become blind so he would listen to God’s calling for his life. God commanded a man named Ananias to go to Paul and restore his sight. After that, Paul followed Jesus.

Why did Paul face persecution?

Jesus says all of His followers will face persecution. John 15:18-25 tells us that since the world hated Jesus, it will also hate us. Before Paul became saved, he persecuted Christians. Because of his actions, he would have known firsthand how bad persecution could be. Paul also knew Christians have a hope the world does not — eternity in heaven with our Creator.

What are the Epistles?

In the New Testament, 21 out of 27 books were originally written as letters. Men wrote these letters to encourage individuals or groups of believers who they couldn’t frequently visit. (Remember, they didn’t have cell phones or email!) The Epistles include Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John and Jude.
