The answer depends on what attitude you have toward those things. Do you remember what you have belongs to God? Are you willing to give everything up if He asks you to? Be willing to follow God’s lead and share the gifts He gives you with others. (2 Corinthians 9:6-15)
The Bible tells us to act unselfishly. We may not know how God is using our actions, but we can trust He is using them for His glory. John 15 tells us the fruit we bear by following Christ brings glory to God. It also tells us that when we follow God’s Word, we will be joyful. (John 15:7-11)
We can avoid being selfish by focusing our attention on serving others. When Christ died on the cross for our sins, He was thinking about our needs instead His own. We can follow Jesus’s example and ask Him to help us focus on others’ needs instead of our own. (Philippians 2:4)
