How Can I Worship God?

Worship is more than how we start our church services each week. Worship is for all believers to engage in, all the time. God has been so good to us, and one of the ways our family can worship is by praying to Him with thanksgiving.

In Psalm 116, verse 17, the psalmist encourages us to offer God a sacrifice of thanksgiving and “call on the name of the Lord.” Isn’t it interesting he uses the word “sacrifice”? This means it might be hard and it may cost us something. To be honest, being transparent and vulnerable in prayer might feel a little awkward for you or your kids. And praying together requires a few quiet moments — which, most days, is a struggle. But this is a sacrifice of thanksgiving our God is more than worthy of.
